Welcome Fall....

Pillow--50% off at Joanne's

I went to Joanne Fabrics today to purchase some fabric--BIG SALE! The clearance fabric was fifty per cent off the clearance price and I found two beautiful fabrics that I couldn't leave in the store. I also found several fat quarters, grabbed thread, and some miscellaneous notions.

Then I walked through the baskets and fall items aisle and realized the basket that I have had my eye on for a month was also fifty percent off. I knew it would make a nice container for a fall arrangement for my front hallway. The little welcome sign and ribbon was also on sale as was everything else but the eucalyptus. So I bought the makings of a floral arrangement for my front hall door.

Once I got home, it took less than fifteen minutes to arrange and I hung it on my door. I wanted to include some some gold flowers but the flowers had been really picked over so I settled for red hydrangeas. The best part is that my house uses a lot of these colors anyways so I can just change the bow and flowers and make it work for other seasons!

I love fall--it is my favorite season of the year! BUT I am always sad to see summer go. As Labor Day weekend begins to wind down, I am noticing the chill already returning to the morning air, and the days are becoming shorter and shorter. Fall is descending upon us with it's array of colors that I have become so fond of. The brilliant, fiery, yellows and golds are my favorite. Can't wait to enjoy the coming weeks....

I just found a sprig of berries with rusty stars on it--hard to see here but I put it in between the other white berries.

Hope everyone is enjoying their Labor Day Weekend!!!! Here in NH the weather has been absolutely perfect!
